OF COUNSEL

ABOUT

KATE MOSENSON Kate joined Asher, Gittler & D’Alba in 2023 as part of the Benefits Administration section, after previously working as a law clerk from 2013-14. She focuses her practice on counseling and representing a wide variety of employee benefit plans, with an emphasis on multi-employer collectively-bargained plans. Kate drafts and maintains plan documents, amendments, restatements, and meeting minutes, assists clients on day-to-day plan administration issues, and handles subrogation matters for her health and welfare clients. She also counsels and advises her self-administered clients on the various employment law matters they experience as employers in their own right.

Prior to joining the Firm, Kate was in-house counsel for the pension and welfare funds for one of Chicagoland’s largest local labor unions. Her practice there began in collections litigation and evolved into a role focused on compliance and benefits administration. Throughout her nearly 8 years in-house, Kate encountered virtually every aspect of administering a Taft-Hartley benefit fund. This gives her the unique ability to leverage that experience into practical legal guidance when advising her fund clients.
