ABOUT
Alexander Rosenthal is a shareholder with the firm in the Benefit Administration section. Alex represents a wide variety of ERISA and non-ERISA funds: defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, health and welfare funds, apprentice funds, legal and educational funds, and labor-management cooperation committees. Alex assists his clients with the day to day administration of plans, including processing QDROs, determining benefit eligibility, and keeping plans current in the the constantly-changing regulatory environment.
His representation also includes ERISA litigation: defending his clients in lawsuits for benefits and for breach of fiduciary duty and prosecuting actions to recover delinquent contributions and withdrawal liability. He also maintains plan documents, from keeping meeting minutes to drafting plan amendments and restating plans. Finally, Alex assists his health and welfare clients in assuring that all aspects of their operations are HIPAA compliant, from office to electronic security.
